Management Team

SalesTree is led by four highly-experienced owners and supported by TRXN's highly skilled employees and advanced data management technologies.


Darrin Parker - Founder, Director & SalesTree Co-President

Darrin Parker brings an extensive background in both Technology and Marketing to his role as Co-President of SalesTree - our Marketing & Sales Automation division. Prior to founding TRXN in 1999, Mr. Parker was a Senior Technology Consultant in Arthur Andersen’s Business Consulting division and a key member of their Advanced Customer Technologies (ACT) team. In this role, Mr. Parker worked extensively in the areas of sales force management and internet technologies which ultimately led him to develop the SalesTree product concept. In more recent years, Mr. Parker took a leave of absence while completing an MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management in Cambridge, Massachusetts. During this time he developed innovative internet marketing strategies for General Motors as a Researcher at the MIT Center for Digital Business and also worked in Marketing at Yahoo! in Sunnyvale, California. Mr. Parker has a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University in Ontario, Canada and an MBA from MIT.


John Ely - Director & SalesTree Co-President

John Ely brings design expertise, marketing experience, and a track record of success to his role as Co-President of SalesTree - our Marketing & Sales Automation division. In this role, Mr. Ely ensures that we exceed our clients' expectations in all facets of our business. Being a key member of our product development and service delivery teams since the company's inception in 1999, Mr. Ely is an expert in the design and execution of highly effective and innovative marketing technology solutions. Mr. Ely is a graduate of the Architecture school at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Prior to co-founding TRXN in 1999, Mr. Ely worked in architecture at a number of firms in Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa, and New York City. Mr. Ely now applies his creative expertise to the design of marketing, technology, and organizational management structures.


Jonathan Dee - Director, Technology

Jonathan Dee brings over 15 years of software development and strategic IT experience to his role as Director of Technology. As the head of our core technology endeavors, Mr. Dee was and is the driving force behind our leading edge Oracle, Apache, and Java (J2EE) systems architecture. Mr. Dee has succeeded in delivering a flexible architecture based on open standards that has been specifically designed and optimized for TRXN's Data Hub Technology. Prior to co-founding TRXN in 1999, Mr. Dee was a Technology Manager in Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting practice. As one of the their top global technologists, Mr. Dee was the key resource on numerous software development projects. Mr. Dee holds a degree from the Queen's University School of Business in Ontario, Canada. His blend of technology expertise and business acumen is a key asset to both our company and our clients.


Ian Assing - Director, Enterprise Solutions

Ian Assing brings more than 15 years of software development and consulting experience to his role as Director of Enterprise Solutions. He is an expert in internet technologies and during his career he has led numerous system development efforts for clients such as Canadian Scholarship Trust, Southam Publishing, Bell GlobeMedia, Sears, UPS, and Microsoft. Prior to joining TRXN in March of 2000, Ian Assing was a Senior Manager in Arthur Andersen's Business Consulting practice. Mr. Assing co-led Arthur Andersen's Advanced Customer Technology (ACT) team - a specialized technology "SWAT" team that tackled numerous complex business information system design and development projects. He also co-wrote and taught Arthur Andersen's global training course on System Development. Mr. Assing has an MBA from The Schulich School of Business at York University and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto (both in Ontario, Canada).
